According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, San Francisco 49ers assistant general manager Adam Peters will interview with the Washington Commanders tonight in Miami for their Head of Football Operations job.
Breer reports that the Los Angeles Chargers have also requested to interview Peters, bringing the known total of interested teams to three. The Las Vegas Raiders are the other team that seeks to speak with the 49ers executive.
49ers ass't GM Adam Peters will interview for the Commanders head of football ops job tonight in Miami, per sources. The Raiders and Chargers also requested permission to interview Peters for their GM jobs, I'm told.
Peters will meet with Josh Harris, Bob Myers & Rick Spielman.
Peters has been highly sought each of the past three offseasons. Last year, he turned down interview requests from the Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals to remain with the 49ers. However, he appears to be actively weighing his options this offseason.
Peters is in his seventh season with the 49ers, joining general manager John Lynch's staff in 2017 and spending his first four years with the team serving as VP of Player Personnel. Peters is in his 21st NFL season, having previously worked in various roles with the Denver Broncos (2009-16) and New England Patriots (2003-08).
