For the second consecutive game, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy experienced a shoulder stinger, with the latest occurrence taking place on Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens. Purdy received clearance to return to the game, but the outcome had seemingly been decided by that point.

In addition to Purdy's injury, the 49ers also dealt with several injuries along the offensive line. Head coach Kyle Shanahan, considering the situation, chose to keep Sam Darnold in the game rather than risk putting Purdy in harm's way.

Purdy was a full practice participant on Wednesday and is expected to do everything on Thursday. The quarterback addressed reporters before the Thursday session, responding to a query about any lingering effects from the injury.

"No, it's been good," Purdy responded. "Just got a lot of treatment done on it and everything. Sort of just work out the soreness within the whole shoulder area, trap area. But it feels good, so I'll be good for this game."

This season, Purdy has completed 68.8 percent of his passes for 4,050 yards, registering 29 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Notably, he became the first 49ers quarterback to surpass the 4,000-yard mark in over two decades.

The 49ers will release a practice participation report after Thursday's session, shedding light on the statuses of key players such as defensive tackle Arik Armstead, guard Aaron Banks, safety Ji'Ayir Brown, wide receiver Jauan Jennings, and tackle Jaylon Moore, all of whom missed Wednesday's practice.
