The San Francisco 49ers head to Washington D.C. for their last road trip of the 2023 regular season as they take on the Commanders at FedExField. This matchup marks the 36th all-time between the two teams and the first time the 49ers have visited the Commanders since 2019. San Francisco looks to earn a win against Washington in consecutive seasons and their 23rd overall in the series.

The 49ers are coming off a 33-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Offensively, RB Christian McCaffrey led the way with 131 yards from scrimmage, including a nine-yard touchdown run. TE George Kittle led all receivers with 126 yards on seven catches, while WR Brandon Aiyuk added 113 yards on six catches. QB Brock Purdy threw for 255 yards on the evening, pushing his season total to 4,050 passing yards, which makes him the third QB in franchise history to throw for 4,000 yards in a season. QB Sam Darnold completed eight of his 14 passing attempts for 81 yards and found WR Ronnie Bell for a 12-yard touchdown.

Defensively, DL Javon Hargrave brought down Ravens QB Lamar Jackson once, while DL Randy Gregory and DL Chase Young split a sack of Jackson. LB Fred Warner registered 10 tackles and two passes defensed, and LB Dre Greenlaw led the unit with 12 tackles.
