49ers injury updates: Two banged up against Eagles

The San Francisco 49ers appear to have emerged from Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles in relatively good health. However, they were not entirely unscathed. Head coach Kyle Shanahan, speaking to reporters
after the dominant 42-19 win, provided injury updates.
"[DT Arik] Armstead had a foot, didn't return," Shanahan said. "
[TE Ross] Dwelley had ankle, didn't return."
After practicing just once last week, the defensive tackle entered Week 13 listed as "questionable" for the clash against the Eagles. However, he was not among the
49ers' seven inactive players and started the game.
"Yeah, he had to gut it out," Shanahan said. "I think he went out in the second half. He was in and out throughout the game, but I wasn't told he was officially out and done, I want to say early in the fourth quarter."
After the second snap of the game, Armstead was noticeably uncomfortable. However, it sounds like the defensive tackle should be fine.
"Wasn't feeling too great, but I think it was important for me to be out there and help my team," Armstead said. "I'll get some treatment and be fine."
As for Dwelley, we will likely learn more about his status on Monday.

Two reported 49ers pre-draft visits didn't end up happening
Despite initial reports, two draft prospects who were set to visit the San Francisco 49ers ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft ultimately did not meet with the team. Matt Barrows of The Athletic revealed that former USC wide receiver Brenden Rice and former Oregon safety Jamal Hill didn't end up visiting the Bay Area organization.
Barrows wrote, "Meanwhile, a report in March indicated that USC receiver Brenden Rice, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice, would visit the 49ers, but he didn't end up coming, according to two league sources."

NFL Communications has officially announced the "NFL legends and active players" who will announce selections during Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft. Representing the San Francisco 49ers will be former defensive tackle Anthony "Spice" Adams, who spent four seasons with the team and nine in the NFL.
San Francisco selected Adams out of Penn State in the second round (No. 57 overall) of the 2003 NFL Draft.
