The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 8 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Quarterback Brock Purdy returned to practice, albeit as a limited participant. He remains in the concussion protocol, creating uncertainty regarding his availability for this weekend's game. Nevertheless, his presence on the practice field is an encouraging sign.
Tackle Trent Williams continues to miss practice but was spotted working on the side with a trainer. The 49ers had initially hoped he might be back for the Thursday session.
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel has been ruled out of Sunday's game due to a hairline fracture in his shoulder. The team is optimistic that he can return for the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars after the bye week.
Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Bengals, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
