San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey scored a touchdown on the offense's first drive of today's contest against the Arizona Cardinals. That trip into the end zone sets a new franchise record, surpassing a legendary player, wide receiver Jerry Rice, for the most consecutive games with one or more touchdowns, including the playoffs.

McCaffrey has scored one or more touchdowns in 13 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NFL. It ties Emmitt Smith and Arian Foster for the second-most consecutive games with one or more touchdowns since 1990.

Rice's 12-consecutive-game streak with one or more touchdowns took place in 1987.

The touchdown was McCaffrey's fourth of the season and 64th of his career. The running back entered the contest with an NFL-leading 353 rushing yards, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. He also had 11 receptions for 70 receiving yards in the season's first three games.
