San Francisco 49ers wide receiver
Deebo Samuel continues to miss practices. He didn't participate in Monday's bonus session, and head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed that the offense's do-everything player won't participate in Wednesday's practice.
The coach informed reporters that Samuel is working through rib and knee injuries. Following last Thursday night's game against the New York Giants, the 49ers feared Samuel may have sustained a serious rib injury. However, further examination revealed no break, and the receiver was just sore in the days after the game.
The knee injury is a new update.
"It was something we really didn't know until the next day, later in that day, just him being sore and stuff," Shanahan said of the knee injury. "He didn't realize it until later."
Others who will not participate in Wednesday's practice are linebacker
Dre Greenlaw and wide receiver
Jauan Jennings. Greenlaw is working through a low-ankle sprain, while Shanahan said Jennings has a shin injury.
Linebacker
Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles will be a limited participant on Wednesday. He is also dealing with a low-ankle sprain. Cornerback
Ambry Thomas was among the 49ers' inactive players against the Giants and is working his way back from a knee injury. He, too, is limited.
Wide receiver
Brandon Aiyuk was also among the 49ers' inactive players during the Week 3 contest due to a shoulder injury. He practiced on Monday and is doing so again on Wednesday, albeit as a limited participant.

Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk weigh in on 49ers-Eagles showdown
The eagerly awaited Week 13 clash between the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles is on the horizon. Following a Thanksgiving roasting of the Seattle Seahawks, the 49ers returned to the field on Monday for a bonus practice, gearing up for the NFC Championship Game rematch.
Wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk addressed reporters after practice, downplaying the emotional significance of Sunday's showdown between NFC powerhouses. Both players, vocal about their disappointment after last season's devastating defeat, had previously suggested that the better team failed to come out on top.
Regarding the upcoming rematch, Samuel told reporters,

It's not often that a player can back up copious amounts of trash talk the way Deebo Samuel did against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but that's exactly what happened during the critical beatdown the 49ers unleashed on the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.
Samuel was among multiple 49ers players who expressed confidence over the offseason that the result in last season's NFC Championship game, won 31-7 by the Eagles, would have been different had quarterback Brock Purdy not suffered a season-ending elbow injury during the contest. No one was more vocal on that front than Samuel, who said things like "We lost because we played with ten people" while adding that the
"May the best team win": Deebo Samuel anticipates exciting 49ers-Eagles matchup
This Sunday features one of the most anticipated matchups of the season. The San Francisco 49ers (8-3) will travel to face the Philadelphia Eagles (10-1) in a rematch of last season's NFC Championship Game. The Eagles are riding a five-game winning streak, while the 49ers have won three straight since stumbling through October.
Fans have had the Week 13 matchup circled on their calendars since the schedule was released in May.
"We know everybody's going to be riled up for this game, and we just got to stay level-headed and just go out there and play Niner football," wide receiver Deebo Samuel told Kay Adams on Tuesday morning.
Any loss leaves a bitter taste, but a playoff loss is particularly devastating. Samuel, who has been to the NFC Championship
