49ers Game Day Eats - Whats New at Levi’s Stadium
Two weeks into the NFL season, fans can finally look forward to the San Francisco 49ers' home opener under the national spotlight. What's on the menu this year? I had the chance to preview some of the upcoming bites at the Levi's Stadium Concessions Showcase.
I checked out Levi's Stadium food selection along with a couple of new local vendors for the upcoming season.
We were introduced to Levi's Stadium and Levy Restaurants' new Executive Chef,
Alvin Kabiling, who takes the reign after working with former executive chef Jon Severson for the last several years. Kabiling recognizes that many local fans are "foodies" and looks forward to the challenge of satisfying patrons with pastime favorites along with adding some new items with his unique take on feeding the 49ers' Faithful.
There was plenty of food to try--so I attempted to sample everything. Here are a couple of the concession items on the menu that really stood out:
Crab Sandwich & Lobster Bisque
A Bay Area classic that should pair especially well for Thursday Night Football
Foot-Long Cheddar Bacon Brat & Foot-Long NorCal Dog
The Cheddar Bacon Brat is a must for any football game topped with grilled peppers & onion, queso bravo. The NorCal Dog features Smoked tri-tip (!!!), Pepsi-Cola barbeque sauce, crispy onion, avocado crème.
Loaded "Picadillo" Sirloin Nachos
The term "loaded" doesn't do it justice. Cumin-scented beef, cheddar cheese sauce, fried potato hash, cotija cheese, pimento cream, Tostito's golden rounds
The local partners didn't disappoint either with what they had to showcase for the season.
Mesquite & Oak offers classic barbeque with a variety of sliders in brisket, pork, and pastrami.
Scratch Kitchen brought in some additional American classics with Nashville Hot Chicken Slider, Loaded Mac & Cheese, Crispy Tender & Fries.
I particularly enjoyed additional diversity to the menu. It's not often you can have lumpia at a football game but that's exactly what
Sarap Shop will be serving up.
For those who are looking for something less heavy,
Poke Braddah's offers Shoyu Ahi and Spicy Ahi Bowls.
Lastly, the 49ers will be offering a new "tailgate" experience for the 2023 season. The 49ers Tailgate by
Golden Road Brewing is a ticketed pregame and halftime experience for 49ers fans of all ages. Tickets are $200 which includes a unique gameday buffet offering upscale chef items along with creations from local restaurant partners.
Wine and beer are included in the ticket price while premium liquor is available for an additional purchase.
