Day 6 of the San Francisco 49ers training camp is officially over, as it was a lighter practice following a scrimmage-heavy day on Monday, with the team following a balanced approach with the pass and run game.

The offense and defense each had their moments, with quarterback Brock Purdy having his best practice following Trey Lance's strong performance on Monday, while the defense accumulated eight sacks on the day, the most of training camp so far.

49ers Notebook: Nick Bosa lobbies for 49ers to keep Chase Young; Kyle Juszczyk addresses his future; Has anyone on the team watched the Super Bowl yet?

By Kirk Larrabee
Feb 13

The offseason is underway for the San Francisco 49ers, which means the team's decision makers will soon have to determine which free agents they would like to try to keep and which ones they'll have to let go. One of the more interesting cases is defensive end Chase Young, whom the 49ers added during the regular season from the Washington Commanders in exchange for a third-round draft pick. It may be hard for the 49ers to prevent Young from being more than a rent-a-player, but Young's friend and former Ohio State University teammate Nick Bosa made it clear Tuesday he'd like to see general manager John Lynch and the 49ers brass find a way to keep Young on the team. In this edition of the 49ers Notebook, we delve into a range of topics starting with Bosa's

Game manager or game changer? RG3 weighs in on 49ers QB Brock Purdy

By David Bonilla
Feb 17

The debate between game manager versus game-changer continues, even after Brock Purdy helped guide the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl. While the quarterback has done everything asked of him, aided by his talented supporting cast, there remain skeptics who persist in downplaying his achievements. Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III, who once played in head coach Kyle Shanahan's offense, is not among Purdy's doubters. Speaking to Jason McCourty on Griffin's podcast, "RG3 and The Ones," Griffin shared his thoughts on the 49ers' quarterback. Griffin reflects on Purdy's season and his Super Bowl appearance, insisting it's challenging to come away from his performances believing the 24-year-old quarterback is merely a game manager. "There

Bayless on 49ers: I don't believe in Kyle Shanahan or Brock Purdy

By David Bonilla
Feb 18

The San Francisco 49ers' collapse in Super Bowl 58 has fueled skepticism from one controversial media personality, indicating a lack of trust in two key figures of the franchise. Skip Bayless is among those doubting quarterback Brock Purdy's capabilities, which isn't new information. Additionally, he questions head coach Kyle Shanahan's effectiveness. Bayless says he was confident that the Kansas City Chiefs would beat the 49ers because of superior coaching by Andy Reid and exceptional talent in quarterback Patrick Mahomes. With Steve Spagnuolo leading the Chiefs' defense, Bayless believes the result was inevitable. "I'm sorry. More than ever, I don't believe in Kyle Shanahan, and I don't believe in Brock Purdy," Bayless said on his FOX Sports podcast. "And I
