The San Francisco 49ers hosted 36 draft prospects today at Levi's Stadium for the team's local pro day. Below are some social media sights, sounds, and notes from the event.
With the 2023 NFL Draft just two weeks away, the local pro day is an opportunity for local prospects to work out in front of 49ers decision-makers.
The 2023 NFL Draft begins on April 27 and spans three days. The 49ers own 11 total selections but lack first-, second-, and fourth-round picks. Click here for a complete list of the team's selections.
Among the players taking part in the #49ers' local pro day practice is Andre Kelly, a 6-9, 255-pound basketball player at UC Santa Barbara. I'm told he's "keeping his options open" about pursuing a football or basketball career. He'll get a look at TE and OT.

Some of the draft-able locals like Cal's Daniel Scott, Stanford's Elijah Higgins, Stanford's Kyu Blu Kelly and UCLA's Atonio Mafi are not here for the pro day.

San Jose State DL Junior Fehoko mostly played DE in college, but said NFL teams think he can play a number of roles at the next level. He's had formal visits with the Patriots, Cowboys and Titans and, of course, met the 49ers' brass at today's local pro day.

With Junior Fehoko and Isaiah Foskey observing, the 49ers' ultra intense d-line coaches had only two pupils to put through the paces, Gabe Reid (Utah) and PJ Hall (Nevada). Safe to say that they worked up a sweat. pic.twitter.com/JUkO4fQ8sd
