The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 17 contest against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Deebo Samuel practiced for the second consecutive day. The wide receiver is attempting to return from MCL and ankle sprains sustained during Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fans won't see Samuel return against the Raiders. The 49ers have ruled him out for Sunday. However, Samuel could play in the 49ers' regular-season finale against the Arizona Cardinals.
"We'll see how practice goes," head coach Kyle Shanahan said. "I mean, he's got to do more practice than he did this week, but he's got a chance to."
The 49ers could have opened the practice window for running back
Elijah Mitchell this week. He was not seen for the early portion of practice open to reporters.
"We actually would have opened [the practice window] today or maybe even yesterday, but he's been home sick the last two days," Shanahan explained. "We've had a bug going around but he was good enough start practicing today (even though he didn't), so we'll definitely start that next week."
Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Raiders, provided by the 49ers Communications staff. Also included are Friday's practice participation reports.

49ers vs. Seahawks Injury Updates: George Odum ruled out
The Seattle Seahawks are hosting the San Francisco 49ers for a Week 12 Thanksgiving matchup at Lumen Field. It is the first of two matchups between the teams in a three-game stretch.
San Francisco is without one of its starting safeties. Talanoa Hufanga suffered a torn ACL against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will miss the remainder of the season. Rookie Ji'Ayir Brown will start in his place.
The 49ers took the field without starting guard Spencer Burford, who is dealing with a knee injury. He was among the team's seven inactive players for the matchup.

Deebo Samuel expresses confidence in 49ers' return to winning ways
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel spoke to NFL Network's Omar Ruiz after the team's impressive Thanksgiving win over the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. The 49ers have rebounded nicely from their recent losing streak, securing three consecutive wins since their bye week.
One advantage of playing on Thursday night is enjoying the extra time off before returning to the grind on Monday. That's when the team will begin preparing for its NFC Championship Game rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Asked about the key to the 49ers' resurgence, Samuel told Ruiz, "Just come out here and play Niner football—fast, physical, and just be on task."

49ers vs. Eagles Injury Report: Arik Armstead among questionable players for Sunday
The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 13 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Arik Armstead returned to practice after sitting out this week's earlier sessions with a foot injury. While he is listed as "questionable," the defensive tackle insists he will be suited up on Sunday in Philadelphia.
"I'll be out there," Armstead responded this week when asked about his game status.
Running back Jordan Mason and wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud also practiced for the first time this week. Mason has been dealing with a hamstring injury, while McCloud has been sidelined with a rib injury. Both are listed as "questionable" for this weekend.

49ers vs. Eagles Injury Report: Arik Armstead doesn't practice but insists he'll play
The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 13 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Arik Armstead has been absent from practice throughout the week, sitting out Monday's bonus session and remaining out on Wednesday and Thursday due to a foot injury. Despite this, the determined defensive tackle insists that he will take the field on Sunday.
When asked if he plans to suit up against the Eagles, Armstead affirmed, "I'll be out there."
Meanwhile, running back Jordan Mason and wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud continue to be sidelined, with neither spotted on the practice field for the second consecutive day. Mason is grappling with a hamstring injury, while McCloud is out due to
