The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 11 contest against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. This week, the team is practicing at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, about an hour south of Denver, to get acclimated to the altitude.

While Thursday's practice was held outdoors, the team moved indoors on Friday due to the overnight snowfall.

While Arik Armstead (foot, ankle) remains sidelined, another defensive lineman returned to practice—Samson Ebukam. The defensive end has been dealing with a quadricep injury and was inactive for Week 10's contest against the Los Angeles Chargers. However, he looks on track to play against the Cardinals.

Cornerback Charvarius Ward is away due to a personal matter. He did not practice on Thursday and was not on the field for Friday's session. On Thursday, head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked if he was concerned that Ward wouldn't be available for Monday's game.

"No, it's all good," Shanahan responded.

Ward is expected to rejoin the team in time to participate in Saturday's practice.

Below are Friday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Cardinals, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.

49ers Notebook: Deebo Samuel backs up the smack; Brock Purdy returns to scene of injury; Jauan Jennings beats his favorite team

By Kirk Larrabee
Dec 3

It's not often that a player can back up copious amounts of trash talk the way Deebo Samuel did against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but that's exactly what happened during the critical beatdown the 49ers unleashed on the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. Samuel was among multiple 49ers players who expressed confidence over the offseason that the result in last season's NFC Championship game, won 31-7 by the Eagles, would have been different had quarterback Brock Purdy not suffered a season-ending elbow injury during the contest. No one was more vocal on that front than Samuel, who said things like "We lost because we played with ten people" while adding that the

49ers vs. Seahawks Injury Report: These players didn't practice on Wednesday

By David Bonilla
Dec 6

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 14 contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. There isn't anything unexpected on Wednesday's practice participation report. Head coach Kyle Shanahan had already informed reporters that defensive tackle Arik Armstead would not practice and is unlikely to play on Sunday due to knee and foot injuries. "It's not ACL, MCL, nothing I would be able to remember to tell you guys," Shanahan said. "I'd be surprised if he's ready this week. Still haven't ruled him out yet, but it might be a week or two." Shanahan also gave reporters a heads-up that guard Spencer Burford

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 14 contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud is recovering from a rib injury and was able to practice on Wednesday while wearing a blue no-contact jersey. However, the key special-teams player wasn't on the practice field on Thursday.
