The San Francisco 49ers are playing the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The Niners entered the matchup without defensive linemen Arik Armstead (foot, ankle) and Nick Bosa (groin), tight end Tyler Kroft (knee), safety Jimmie Ward (hand), and tackle Trent Williams (ankle). They were among the 49ers' six inactive players in Week 6.
Below are the 49ers-Falcons in-game injury updates.
RT Mike McGlinchey (calf, out)
Mike McGlinchey exited the game in the second quarter, just before wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk's touchdown reception that tied the game 14-14. He returned to the game but was in noticeable pain. The 49ers later ruled him out for the remainder of the contest, opting to go with Daniel Brunskill at right tackle.
CB Charvarius Ward (groin, out)
Charvarius Ward exited the game in the second quarter and headed to the locker room during the two-minute warning. The 49ers first announced that the cornerback is "questionable" to return due to a groin injury but later ruled him out.
