The San Francisco 49ers might be on the brink of receiving a defensive line boost. Arik Armstead and Javon Kinlaw returned to practice today, the last practice before the team faces the Los Angeles Rams at Levi's Stadium on Monday night.
We'll learn how much Armstead and Kinlaw participated in the Friday session when the team releases its official injury report this afternoon.

Armstead has been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his right foot, forcing him to miss the Week 3 contest against the Denver Broncos.
"But it is just kind of a nagging thing that it's fired up right now," general manager John Lynch said this week of Armstead's injury. "It's hard to avoid. But Arik is working. Our trainers are doing a nice job, trying to just quiet it down so that he can go play, and play effectively."
Kinlaw had not practiced this week as he deals with knee issues. The third-year defensive tackle underwent reconstructive surgery on his ACL last year. He played 42 defensive snaps and two special teams snaps against the Broncos.
Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group notes that Kinlaw appeared to be "noticeably hindered" during practice.
