49ers add Jimmie Ward to the reserve/COVID list, announce other roster moves
The San Francisco 49ers announced that safety
Jimmie Ward has been added to the reserve/COVID-19 list. The team also announced the following roster moves.
- RB Brian Hill has been re-signed to the practice squad
- P Colby Wadman has been released from the practice squad
This brings the total number of 49ers players on the reserve/COVID-19 list up to four. Ward joins running back Raheem Mostert and cornerbacks
Dontae Johnson and K'Waun Williams, who were added earlier today.
Hill was waived on Saturday, ahead of the 49ers' Week 17 win over the Houston Texans.

49ers announce jersey numbers of entire draft class, including No. 74
Last week, we found out what numbers many of the San Francisco 49ers rookies would be wearing during the team's three-day rookie minicamp. Those numbers will be sticking around through at least the rest of the offseason program. Obviously, they are subject to change after roster cuts ahead of Week 1.
Matt Barrows of The Athletic tweeted out several rookie jersey numbers, including select undrafted free agents. Missing from his tweet, however, was the number of the 49ers' fifth-round draft pick, cornerback Samuel Womack. The team announced that he will wear No. 26, last worn by cornerback Josh Norman.

The 49ers are content with Jimmy Garoppolo on their roster
San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch told KNBR this past Monday that the organization appeared close to trading starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo earlier in the offseason, but those talks came to a screeching halt when the decision was made for the 30-year old signal-caller to have surgery on his injured shoulder.
Lynch later mentioned that the team continued to have dialogue surrounding Garoppolo during the NFL Draft, but it appeared teams were hoping to secure his services at a discounted price. Lynch also mentioned that teams typically don't rush out to trade for a player following surgery until they know they've made a full recovery. To me, it almost felt like
