It looks like Jerick McKinnon has found a new NFL home. The former San Francisco 49ers running back is signing with the Kansas City Chiefs, per Peter Schrager of NFL Network (h/t to Patrick Tulini).
The Minnesota Vikings made McKinnon a third-round selection out of Georgia Southern in 2014. He carried the football 81 times for 319 yards with five rushing touchdowns while adding 33 receptions for 253 yards with a receiving touchdown through 16 games with the 49ers in 2020.
McKinnon, 28, has accumulated 2,237 rushing yards on 555 attempts with 12 rushing touchdowns through his five NFL seasons. He did not play from 2018-19 after suffering a torn ACL.
