Add the New York Jets to the list of teams that are interested in talking with San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network is reporting that New York plans to interview Saleh on Friday.
The #Jets plan to interview #49ers DC Robert Saleh for their head coaching job Friday, per source.
That's five teams in on Saleh, who interviewed with the #Falcons on Monday, has the #Lions today, and #Jaguars and #Chargers still to come.
That brings the total number of interested teams in Saleh to five. The Atlanta Falcons interviewed the defensive coordinator on Monday night. The Detroit Lions will interview him today. The Jacksonville Jaguars plan to speak with Saleh on Saturday.
The Los Angeles Chargers have also requested an interview.
That leaves the Houston Texans as the only team with a head-coaching vacancy that has not yet expressed interest in the 49ers coordinator.
Saleh has spent the past four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. His injury-ravaged defense was still good enough to rank No. 4 in passing yards allowed, No. 5 in total yards allowed, and No. 7 in rushing yards allowed this past season.
