The 2021 Pro Bowl rosters have been announced, and the San Francisco 49ers will be represented for the fourth consecutive year. The following three 49ers players have been selected to the NFC roster in the NFL's annual all-star squads. Understandably, there won't be a game played in January due to COVID-19. Therefore, there won't be alternates named to the Pro Bowl this season.

The Pro Bowl selection process consists of votes from fans, players, and coaches, with each group accounting for one-third of the process.

Kyle Juszczyk, Fullback (starter)

This is Kyle Juszczyk's fifth consecutive Pro Bowl selection (2017-21), and fourth straight with the 49ers. The eighth-year player has carried the football 15 times for 61 yards and two rushing touchdowns while adding 16 receptions for 188 yards and two receiving touchdowns through 14 game appearances this season. The fullback remains an integral part of head coach Kyle Shanahan's rushing attack. His four total touchdowns on the season are tied for his single-season career-high.

Fred Warner, Linebacker

This is Fred Warner's first Pro Bowl selection. The third-year player is a leader of the 49ers defense and leads the team in tackles with 101, and has added four tackles for a loss, five quarterback hits, two interceptions, three passes defensed, and a fumble recovery through 14 starts this season. He was named as a Pro Bowl alternate last season.

Trent Williams, Tackle (starter)

This is Trent Williams' eighth Pro Bowl selection (2013-19, 2021) and first with the 49ers. The veteran offensive lineman has started 13 games this season and is Pro Football Focus' second-highest graded tackle. While Williams has allowed four sacks this season, none have come in the last eight games.

49ers' Fred Warner addresses Armstead's departure, Greenlaw's recovery, Super Bowl window

By David Bonilla
Apr 22

The news of Arik Armstead's departure from the San Francisco 49ers after nine seasons with the team shocked linebacker Fred Warner. Armstead, a former first-round pick, was an impactful force on the football field. However, his availability over the last two seasons forced the 49ers to reevaluate his contract, and when his salary could not be significantly reduced, the two sides parted ways. "Huge surprise," Warner said of learning that Armstead was being released. "Ever since I've been here, we called him the blueprint for how to be a Niner. That was the longest-tenured Niner that's been here and a guy that's done it right through and through." Warner has been in the NFL long enough to understand how the league works. Over the years, he's watched several

Trent Williams will be 36 at the start of the 2024 NFL season. While retirement isn't on his mind just yet, the San Francisco 49ers must consider a succession plan for left tackle. NFL Media's Bucky Brooks unveiled his final mock draft, projecting the San Francisco 49ers to select former Arizona offensive tackle Jordan Morgan with the No. 31 overall pick as their eventual replacement for Williams. "With Trent Williams entering the twilight of his career, the 49ers have to find an eventual replacement on the edge," Brooks noted. "Morgan is a sound blocker at the point of attack with diverse skills

Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz reports that the San Francisco 49ers were among several NFL teams in attendance for former Illinois defensive tackle Jer'Zhan Newton's pro day workout. The defender also goes by the name "Johnny." The San Francisco 49ers announced the signing of wide receiver Trent Taylor to a one-year deal, reuniting with the team's former fifth-round draft pick out of Louisiana Tech.
