49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk named Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week after performance vs. Giants

Brandon Aiyuk has earned his first NFL award. The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver has been named the Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Week Award winner following the team's 36-9 Week 3 victory over the New York Giants.

Aiyuk showed off his versatility with 101 all-purpose yards, including five catches for 70 yards and three carries for 31 yards and a score during his 56 snaps.

The other award nominees were Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson, Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson, and Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert.

Aiyuk played college football at Arizona State, and the 49ers made him the No. 25 overall pick in April. He has seven catches for 91 receiving yards through two games this season.
