Obviously, the NFL wants to make it clear that coaches and staff need to be wearing face coverings on sidelines during games to protect themselves and others from COVID-19. The league has fined several head coaches, including Kyle Shanahan of the San Francisco 49ers, $100,000 each for not wearing face coverings on Sunday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The NFL also fined each of their teams an additional $250,000.

The other coaches who were fined are Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks and Vic Fangio of the Denver Broncos.

Shanahan and his 49ers visited MetLife Stadium on Sunday to play the New York Jets, a game they won 31-13. San Francisco will return to MetLife Stadium this weekend to play the New York Giants.
