San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman spoke with reporters after Friday's practice and revealed that he had offseason shoulder surgery.
"It was last year when I had separated my shoulder," Coleman said. "So, yeah, I just had to get that fixed up after the season, so I wouldn't have any problems right now."
The running back noted that he spent his offseason rehabbing and training in Atlanta.
Added Coleman: "I was working real hard with that, getting my shoulder back, and getting it right to be here."
Coleman rushed for 544 yards on 137 carries with six touchdowns last season, his first year with the 49ers. The running back is expected to share the workload with Raheem Mostert and Jerick McKinnon in 2020.
