During these weeks leading to the draft, we have been looking at a collection of mock drafts from various sources to compile lists of the top prospects projected to head to the 49ers. With the 2020 NFL Draft starting tomorrow, this will be our last Mock Draft Roundup.

The 2020 NFL Draft is just a day away. Forty-one of the 61 mock drafts that I looked at this week have the San Francisco 49ers selecting a wide receiver with the No. 13 overall pick. That doesn't include scenarios that have the team trading down from that spot and still selecting a receiver. The three most popular choices for 49ers' selections at No. 13 remain the top three receiver prospects — Jerry Jeudy of Alabama, CeeDee Lamb of Oklahoma, and Henry Ruggs of Alabama.

Jeudy and Lamb have each shared time as the most popular projection to land in San Francisco. This week, a new name, Ruggs, takes the top spot.

The loss of veteran receiver Emmanuel Sanders, who signed with the New Orleans Saints this offseason, leaves the 49ers searching for a playmaker to complement last year's breakout rookie Deebo Samuel. Ruggs is a burner, posting a 40-time of 4.27 seconds in February at the NFL Scouting Combine. The mark was just shy of tying John Ross' Combine record of 4.22 seconds in 2017.

San Francisco owns two first-round picks — its own at No. 31 and the No. 13 overall selection, which it acquired by trading defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the Indianapolis Colts.

The 61 mock drafts that we scoured through range from big-name sites like ESPN and NFL.com to smaller independent fan-run sites, along with everything in-between. Projected trades are noted in the breakdown below.

Offensive lineman Cesar Ruiz of Michigan is the most popular selection at No. 31 overall. Last week, he was joined by cornerback Trevon Diggs of Alabama. This week, however, he has regained his top spot as the leading projected selection for San Francisco with the team's second first-round pick.

Below are the top-ranked projections for the 49ers at No. 13 among the mock drafts we examined.

Rank No. 13
18 Mock Drafts Henry Ruggs, WR, Alabama
13 Mock Drafts Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama
9 Mock Drafts CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma
4 Mock Drafts Derrick Brown, DL, Auburn
4 Mock Drafts Javon Kinlaw, DT, Southern Carolina
3 Mock Drafts CJ Henderson, CB, Florida
1 Mock Draft Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU

The following players were mocked to the 49ers, but only after the team traded down from the No. 13 overall pick. The player most often selected following a trade down is wide receiver Justin Jefferson of LSU.

Below are the top-ranked projections at No. 31. Mock drafts that have the 49ers trading down from this spot are not included.

Kiper's latest mock draft has 49ers addressing O-line at No. 31

By David Bonilla

ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper has just released his latest mock draft, and it has the San Francisco 49ers addressing their offensive line needs. With the initial wave of free agency signings complete, analysts can better predict what teams might do in next month's rookie selection event. Last month, ahead of the NFL Scouting Combine, Kiper projected the 49ers selecting former Penn State pass rusher Chop Robinson. San Francisco has recently bolstered its defensive end spot opposite Nick Bosa by signing

With the initial flurry of free agency in the books, respected draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah unveiled his latest mock draft, projecting teams' potential moves in the 2024 NFL Draft. While many fans questioned ESPN analyst Mel Kiper projecting Washington offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten to the 49ers with the No. 31 overall pick, Jeremiah's choice for the Bay Area team may receive a warmer reception. Despite the Niners adding defensive ends via free agency, Jeremiah has San Francisco using their first-round pick to add former Penn State pass rusher Chop

PFF mock draft has 49ers finding potential replacement for Colton McKivitz

By David Bonilla

Pro Football Focus' Trevor Sikkema unveiled his latest mock draft this week and has the San Francisco 49ers addressing the offensive line. Specifically, Sikkema suggests the team seeks a potential replacement for Colton McKivitz at right tackle. In Sikkema's projection, the Niners select former Georgia offensive lineman Amarius Mims with the No. 31 overall pick. The analyst views him as an ideal addition to an offensive front that was untouched in free agency—apart from ensuring continuity among last season's starters. "Mims has one of the craziest builds you will have ever seen — in a good way

49ers Mock Draft 5.0: DB help added in first round

By Wayne P. Brown
Mar 23

The Pro Football Focus (PFF) Mock Draft Simulator was used to create this mock draft. In mock draft 5.0, I continued using the "best player available" model for the San Francisco 49ers. This week, the 49ers' position of need and value met in the first round. Round 1, Pick 31 CB, Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alabama The 49ers have three defensive backs in the last years of their contracts. Charvarius Ward is a veteran in the last year of his deal with the team, and Deommodore Lenoir and Ambry Thomas are playing in the last year of their rookie contracts. Kool-Aid McKinstry is one of the best outside corners in the 2024 NFL Draft. McKinstry has excellent lateral agility, is strong in press-man coverage, and tackles well
