It was a long and disappointing walk from the football field at Hard Rock Stadium back to the locker room for the San Francisco 49ers. They had just suffered a fourth-quarter collapse against the Kansas City Chiefs, falling short of a Super Bowl championship.
One Chiefs player, running back Damien Williams, chased after 49ers running back Raheem Mostert in the tunnel to share some emotional words of support. You can see the Chiefs running back saying something to Mostert and then hugging him before the two swapped jerseys.
Then Williams returned to the field to celebrate the Super Bowl win, the Chiefs' first in 50 years, with his teammates. Maybe in the coming days, we'll learn what Williams told Mostert.

For the 49ers, it will be a long offseason, thinking about what could have been. Now, the team shifts its focus toward improving so it might compete again next season.
