49ers-Chiefs Super Bowl LIV Injury Report: Tevin Coleman, Kwon Alexander, Jaquiski Tartt still limited

Jan 30, 2020 at 12:19 PM--

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Super Bowl LIV contest against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The team is practicing from the University of Miami this week, and on Thursday conducted its second full practice.

There was no change from Wednesday's practice report. Only three players — all limited — are listed. They are linebacker Kwon Alexander, running back Tevin Coleman, and safety Jaquiski Tartt.

All three are expected to play on Sunday.

Coleman's injury is the most concerning of the three. He suffered a dislocated shoulder during the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers, didn't practice in Santa Clara during the week that followed, but resumed practice this week. The running back is optimistic he will play in Super Bowl LIV.

Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Chiefs, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.

By David Bonilla
Nov 30

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 13 contest against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Christian McCaffrey didn't practice. The running back worked through some knee irritation on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. Head coach Kyle Shanahan wasn't sure if the situation would keep McCaffrey from playing this weekend. "It's keeping him from [practicing] today, so I hope not," Shanahan told reporters. Defensive end Charles Omenihu is also dealing with a knee issue and did not practice. Another defensive lineman, Arik Armstead, was a limited participant. Armstead has not played since Week 4 and returned to the practice field last Friday. He did not play against the Saints,

The San Francisco 49ers are playing the Miami Dolphins at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. While running back Elijah Mitchell was placed on injured reserve this weekend, and guard Spencer Burford (ankle) was among the 49ers' four inactive players, the team entered the game relatively healthy. That was until an injury to the 49ers' starting quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo. Below are the 49ers-Dolphins in-game injury updates. QB Jimmy Garoppolo (foot, out) Garoppolo exited the game after the 49ers' first offensive drive. Garoppolo was

The Kansas City Chiefs offense currently ranks No. 1 in the NFL in total yards and points scored. The unit put up 42 points on the San Francisco 49ers defense when the two teams met at Levi's Stadium on October 23. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo gifted the Chiefs two more points on a safety for a total of 44. "In the Chiefs game, what we didn't do, we didn't get off the field on third down because we didn't make plays," defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans said after Thursday's practice. "We busted coverages. We weren't where we were supposed to be. We didn't do our job, and when you don't do your job consistently, you'll get embarrassed, as we did in that Chiefs game. "And it's nothing that they did that surprised us. It's guys just being on it each and every

49ers-Saints Injury Report: Deebo Samuel "questionable" for Sunday; Arik Armstead "doubtful"

By David Bonilla

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 12 contest against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel was limited this week due to a hamstring injury, putting his availability against the Saints into doubt. The 49ers have listed Samuel as "questionable" for Sunday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan noted that the wideout's current injury is unrelated to the previous hamstring injury from earlier in the season. Defensive lineman Arik Armstead returned to practice on Friday, the final session of the week. Jordan Schultz of The Score first reported Armstead's return but also stated that the
