49ers-Chiefs Super Bowl LIV Injury Report: Tevin Coleman, Kwon Alexander, Jaquiski Tartt still limited

Jan 30, 2020 at 12:19 PM--

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Super Bowl LIV contest against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The team is practicing from the University of Miami this week, and on Thursday conducted its second full practice.

There was no change from Wednesday's practice report. Only three players — all limited — are listed. They are linebacker Kwon Alexander, running back Tevin Coleman, and safety Jaquiski Tartt.

All three are expected to play on Sunday.

Coleman's injury is the most concerning of the three. He suffered a dislocated shoulder during the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers, didn't practice in Santa Clara during the week that followed, but resumed practice this week. The running back is optimistic he will play in Super Bowl LIV.

Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Chiefs, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.

Limited Participation in Practice
LB Kwon Alexander (pectoral), RB Tevin Coleman (shoulder), S Jaquiski Tartt (ribs)

Kansas City Chiefs Thursday Practice

DT Chris Jones (calf), TE Travis Kelce (knee), C Austin Reiter (wrist), TE Deon Yelder (achilles)

With the 2023 NFL season still 100 days away, the columnist made nine bold predictions, including head coach Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers finally earning the franchise's coveted sixth championship. Schein has the 49ers beating the Jets in Super Bowl 58, which will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. "The 49ers are the best roster in the NFL, 2-53," Schein explained. "They just need to find that No. 1. Who's poised to man the game's

By David Bonilla
May 31

ESPN's Jeff Darlington recently appeared on the network's NFL Live show and discussed the San Francisco 49ers' quarterback situation, highlighting Trey Lance's healthy state and current workload during organized team activities (OTAs). "Trey Lance is the guy during OTAs who's been taking all the 1st-team reps; he's healthy at this point," Darlington said, per Dov Kleiman of BroBible. "Sam Darnold really getting backup duty as he kinda gets his playbook under his belt. But for now, Trey Lance getting his opportunity with those first-team reps." What is the takeaway from these comments? Nothing, really. We
