360-degree image of Levi’s Stadium captured during 49ers-Vikings

Were you at Saturday's playoff game between the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings? If so, you may have been caught on a 360-degree image the team took of the Levi's Stadium crowd before kickoff.

Not only does the online image show the 71,649 fans in the stadium, a record crowd for a 49ers game, but you can also spot head coach Kyle Shanahan, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, and other team players and personnel.

ESPN ranks Levi's Stadium No. 20 among NFL venues

Levi's Stadium is often criticized for its lack of personality. It's a nice big sports venue in Santa Clara, California, but not much else is typically said. Candlestick Park tends to bring back fonder memories for San Francisco 49ers fans. Yes, it was old. Yes, it was, at times, cold and windy. Levi's Stadium, by the way, is the opposite. It may have taken you a couple of hours to get out of Candlestick Park. With all of its faults, there was so much history there. That's why it will always hold a special place in the hearts of The Faithful. That lack of personality and history hurt Levi's Stadium in ESPN's recent ranking of NFL venues.

49ers and Cardinals will be required to wear face coverings on sidelines during Week 1

NFL teams will need to abide by local restrictions when it comes to COVID-19 precautions. That includes visiting teams. There are currently only two NFL markets where players will be required — not recommended — to wear face coverings while observing from the sidelines. They are the San Francisco 49ers, who play in Santa Clara, California, and the Buffalo Bills, who play in Orchard Park, New York. Although, the NFL strongly recommends that players and personnel wear face coverings in all NFL stadiums.
