The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 16 contest against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Cornerbacks Richard Sherman (hamstring) and K'Waun Williams (concussion) are on track to play on Saturday. Both practiced for the third consecutive day and did not appear on Thursday's injury report.

Safety Jaquiski Tartt (ribs) and defensive end Dee Ford (quadricep, hamstring) continue to miss practice and have been ruled out for Saturday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan doesn't expect Ford to return until the playoffs.

"I'd be shocked if he was ready for Seattle," Shanahan said Thursday morning on KNBR. "I'm counting on him being ready for the first playoff game, whether that's a Wildcard game or whether it's a week off and a divisional game at home."

Defensive lineman Jullian Taylor returned to practice for the first time since suffering a ligament injury in his elbow during Week 13 against the Baltimore Ravens. He has been ruled out for Saturday, however. Shanahan said after Thursday's practice that he hopes to have Taylor back for Week 17.

Guard Mike Person is listed as "questionable" for Saturday due to a neck injury. Shanahan was asked about the plan should Person be unable to play.

"(Daniel) Brunskill can play guard," Shanahan responded. "(Justin) Skule can play guard. We'd most likely lean toward Brunskill, though."

Below are the official injury reports for the 49ers and Rams, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff. Also included are this week's practice participation reports.

The San Francisco 49ers are holding their local pro day today at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. The team has released the full roster of participants. An NFL local pro day is an event hosted by teams to allow prospects with ties to the local area to showcase their skills in front of team personnel. These prospects typically hail from nearby colleges or have some other connection to the region where the team is based. Head coach Kyle Shanahan, general manager John Lynch, and a contingent of coaches, executives, and scouts will be on hand to evaluate prospective draftees during the 49ers' local pro day. 49ers insider believes team may prefer WR Brandon Aiyuk play on fifth-year option

By Marc Adams

The San Francisco 49ers don't always do things like other NFL teams do. But they are consistent, for the most part. Seemingly every offseason, especially in recent years, a star player has wanted a new contract. From TE George Kittle and LB Fred Warner to WR Deebo Samuel and Edge Nick Bosa, the 49ers have given new contracts, but they have waited until late July-early August (and in Bosa's case—September) to do so, much to the chagrin of those players, who wanted their new deal sooner rather than later. It may not have happened as soon as the players wanted it to, but it has happened. Kittle's contract talks reportedly weren't as smooth as he might have hoped, Samuel famously scrubbed his social media accounts of all things 49ers, and Bosa didn't sign until a few days
