Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders hasn't been with the San Francisco 49ers very long, but he has seemingly already bought into the culture and the attitude of the team.
The 49ers exchanged draft picks with the Denver Broncos on October 22 for the veteran receiver, who has since recorded 16 catches for 194 yards with two touchdowns through four games. He has provided quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo with another relatable target for this final stretch of the season.
Sanders spoke with Liam McHugh of NBC Sports before the 49ers' Sunday night game against the Green Bay Packers and shared his thoughts on his new team.
"This organization is just amazing," Sanders told McHugh. "The culture that John (Lynch) and Kyle (Shanahan) has built out here, and the players that they've brought in, and the positive energy out here is just amazing. And I'm just happy to be here, happy to be a part of the experience, and trying to do something special."
San Francisco faces three division leaders over the next three games in the Packers, Baltimore Ravens, and New Orleans Saints, and still has the Atlanta Falcons, Los Angeles Rams, and Seattle Seahawks after that. Sanders, a Super Bowl champion himself, knows how important this final stretch is for NFL teams like the 9-1 49ers as playoff seeding is determined.
"We've got a heck of a schedule the next three weeks," Sanders said, "the next four weeks, really, the rest of the season, so we've got to handle business."
