Thompson replaces wide receiver Max McCaffrey, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic.

Thompson is 25 years old. The Texans signed the receiver as an undrafted free agent out of Florida in 2017. He recorded five catches for 84 yards as a rookie but was waived on August 28, 2018.
Thompson most recently played for the Orlando Apollos of the short-lived Alliance of American Football.
