San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Dante Pettis' speed during his 75-yard touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday was among the fastest during Week 13. In fact, it was the fourth-fastest, according to the NFL's Next Gen Stats.
Pettis reached a speed of 20.27 mph on the touchdown run after he hauled in the pass from quarterback Nick Mullens. It was his second score of the game.
Below are the top-five speeds on scoring runs from Week 13.
20.84 mph — RB Adrian Peterson, Redskins (90-yard TD run vs. Eagles)
20.19 mph — RB Rashaad Penny, Seahawks (20-yard TD run vs. 49ers)
Of course, San Francisco went on to lose the game in a 43-16 blowout. Pettis was responsible for each of the 49ers' two trips to the end zone. He hauled in five receptions for 129 yards (25.8 average) with the two touchdowns against Seattle, all career highs.
Pettis' 129 reception yards during Week 13 ranked third among wide receivers and fifth among all NFL players.
