The San Francisco 49ers roster is young. There are a significant number of players who have never visited historic Lambeau Field. The last time the 49ers played there was in 2013 for a playoff game. Nearly half of the 53-man roster has two-or-fewer years of NFL experience.

One young player who is excited to play at Lambeau Field is second-year wide receiver Trent Taylor, whose family grew up cheering the Green Bay Packers. Taylor joined KNBR on Thursday morning and discussed his upcoming visit to the iconic stadium.

"I'm pretty pumped up for it," Taylor said on the "Murph & Mac" show. "That's something that I've always loved to watch and loved to hear about growing up. You hear everybody talk about Lambeau Field and now that I have the opportunity to actually play there. It's going to be something pretty exciting."

The real question, Taylor admits, is if he can convince his family to wear 49ers red and not Packers green on Monday night.

Said Taylor: "I think my family, all my relatives might be a little more pumped up than I am because they've all been Packers fans growing up, and they're all coming to the game Monday night. They're pretty psyched out about it."

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for a brutal three-game stretch that begins in Seattle on Thanksgiving night against the Seahawks. After that, the team will travel to Philadelphia for an NFC Championship Game rematch against the Eagles. Finally, they will host the Seahawks at Levi's Stadium. The bird-themed portion of the 2023 schedule continues with a Week 15 face-off against the Arizona Cardinals and a Week 16 showdown with the Baltimore Ravens. Luckily, the 49ers have been playing improved football since their bye week, ending a three-game losing streak with back-to-back victories. The defense has been much-improved in the last two outings, with many at least partially attributing this positive shift to the acquisition of defensive end Chase

49ers' Jauan Jennings criticizes Seahawks defenders for missed tackles on key play

By David Bonilla

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings only had one catch for seven yards on Thanksgiving night against the Seattle Seahawks, but it was a big one. Jennings is known for his uncanny ability to make things happen on third downs, and that's precisely what happened on that one play. On a crucial 3rd-and-7 from Seattle's 25-yard line, Jennings received a pass from quarterback Brock Purdy. Initially appearing to be stopped short of the first-down marker, the receiver fought for the needed yards, causing some missed tackles and dragging rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon along with him. Seahawks optimistic Geno Smith can play vs. 49ers

By David Bonilla
Nov 20

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith appeared to injure his elbow during Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Rams, putting his availability for Thursday night's Thanksgiving showdown against the San Francisco 49ers in doubt. However, speaking on a Seattle-area radio station on Monday, head coach Pete Carroll sounded optimistic about Smith's availability, even on a short week. "They're taking a look at it, but they pretty much know what's going on there," Carroll said, per Pro Football Talk. "It's just see how soon it settles down. Like I said, it's a good sign that he's functional, so that's not the issue. So, it's just how

49ers Notebook: Nine years later, 49ers get Thanksgiving revenge over Seahawks; Shanahan, Purdy discuss key throws vs. Seahawks; What happened to Christian McCaffrey's helmet?

It took nine years, but the San Francisco 49ers finally got some payback on Thursday night for the Seattle Seahawks feasting on turkey after a win at Levi's Stadium in 2014. The Seahawks' 19-3 win over the 49ers on Thanksgiving in 2014 was the last time either team played on Thanksgiving before Thursday night, and after that game then-Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and cornerback Richard Sherman dug into the postgame turkey at the 50-yard line of Levi's Stadium at a time when the rivalry between the two teams was at a peak. The 49ers flipped the script on Thursday, notching a 31-13 win over the Seahawks at Lumen Field in Seattle that was followed by a slew of 49ers getting their fill of Thanksgiving turkey, courtesy of NBC. "That was a moment I'll remember
