San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida is coming off of a 138-yard performance against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. His 12.5 yards per rushing attempt were enough to earn a nomination for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week.
Breida is up against Tevin Coleman of the Atlanta Falcons and Phillip Lindsay of the Denver Broncos. Coleman had 107 rushing yards in a 31-24 win over the Carolina Panthers while Lindsay recorded 107 yards in a 20-19 victory against the Oakland Raiders.

The 49ers signed Breida, who leads NFL running backs this season with 184 rushing yards, as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Southern last year. His 66-yard touchdown run on Sunday against Detroit was the longest of his career and the longest for the franchise since a 90-yard run by Colin Kaepernick against the San Diego Chargers in 2014.
