There is a newcomer to the San Francisco 49ers' training camp injury report. Rookie linebacker Fred Warner won't participate in contact drills due to a chest injury.
#49ers rookie ILB Fred Warner (chest) will have no contact in practice today. Possible reason: He was driven to ground by RB Jeff Wilson in 1-on-1 blocking drill Wednesday and began shaking/rotating his shoulder when he got up.

Guard Joshua Garnett remains on the list and is day-to-day. He has missed the past three practices after banging knees with a teammate during Saturday's session.
"It's tough to make this team and do it if you're not out there," head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Wednesday. "I was a little surprised Garnett didn't make it today. I'd be more surprised if he's not out there [Thursday]."
Defensive back Jimmie Ward is also listed as day-to-day with a hamstring injury.
Tackle Joe Staley, running back Jerick McKinnon, wide receiver Pierre Garçon, cornerback Richard Sherman, linebacker Malcolm Smith, and defensive linemen DeForest Buckner and Earl Mitchell will have Thursday off to rest.
Linebacker Brock Coyle remains out.
#49ers won't have ILBs Malcolm Smith & Brock Coyle today, and Fred Warner will be limited. That makes for a busy day for Reuben Foster, Korey Toomer, Elijah Lee and Mark Nzeocha, who had been playing OLB but could move back inside now that Dekoda Watson has returned to practice.
