San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman posted a video of himself on Instagram to show how his recovery from a ruptured Achilles sustained in November is going.

The video, which is accompanied by the text, "Getting there...", shows him running on the team's practice field in Santa Clara.

Getting there.....

A post shared by Richard Sherman (@rsherman25) on

The 49ers hope to have Sherman ready to practice with his new teammates in time for the team's training camp, which kicks off in late-July. The cornerback hopes to return sooner. He previously targeted June (possibly earlier) for his return to the practice field.

The 49ers signed Sherman to an incentive-rich three-year deal on March 10, the day after the Seattle Seahawks released him. The seven-year veteran has been selected to four Pro Bowls and is a three-time first-team All-Pro. Sherman has registered 367 combined tackles, 32 interceptions, 99 passes defensed, a sack, and five forced fumbles over his career.

H/T to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area for the find.

By David Bonilla
Apr 16

However, the NFL insider emphasized one thing: The team is not entertaining trade discussions at this juncture. Reacting to Aiyuk's decision to unfollow the 49ers on Instagram, Rapoport couldn't help but chuckle at the latest development. This practice has become commonplace among players who are unhappy with their contract situations. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel similarly took this action in 2022 before requesting to be traded just before the draft. Things have yet to escalate that far with Aiyuk, but Rapoport sees his
