The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to terms with free agent defensive end Datone Jones, according to a report by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Jones (6-4, 285) was originally the 26th overall draft pick out of UCLA by the Green Bay Packers in 2013. He spent four seasons in Green Bay before signing a one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings in March. Jones was released with an injury settlement prior to the start of the season and then spent eight days with the Detroit Lions earlier this month.

Jones, who is in his fifth NFL season, has accumulated 73 total tackles, nine sacks, seven passes defensed, and an interception over his career. He started seven games over his four seasons with the Packers.
