Late Sunday night, a horrific shooting took place in Las Vegas leaving at least 58 innocent people dead and hundreds more injured. A gunman, who was later found dead in his Mandalay Bay hotel room, was armed with at least 10 rifles according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Gunfire from the 32nd floor of the massive hotel complex, which sits about 400 yards away from the stage of the music festival targeted by the gunman, sent the 22,000-plus fans in attendance scrambling for their lives.
On Monday morning, the San Francisco 49ers issued the following statement regarding the tragedy via the team's Twitter account.
