Supplemental draft update

According to multiple sources, the San Diego Chargers have selected University of Georgia CB Paul Oliver with their fourth-round draft choice in the NFL's Supplemental draft.

The Baltimore Ravens have selected University of Maryland OT Jared Gaither with their fifth-round draft choice.

No other players are expected to be selected.

The San Francisco 49ers entered Sunday's Week 1 matchup without one of their best offensive weapons, tight end George Kittle. They lost another offensive weapon in the 19-10 loss to the Chicago Bears. On Monday, head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters via a conference call and confirmed the report that Elijah Mitchell sustained an MCL sprain. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the running back is expected to miss about two months. Shanahan confirmed that timeline, saying Mitchell would head to injured reserve, forcing him to miss at least four games. Jeff

The San Francisco 49ers won...and lost on Sunday. The win came by beating the Seattle Seahawks, something the 49ers have not done much of over the last 10 years. The loss came when Trey Lance broke his ankle. He's believed to be lost for the season. It's been a rough first two weeks for 49ers fans. First there was the frustrating loss in Chicago, and now the injury to Lance. And to make matters worse, running back Ty Davis-Price sustained a high-ankle sprain that could sideline him for a few weeks.
