Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee is reporting that, from the looks of pregame warmups, as though second-year player Arik Armstead and rookie DeForest Buckner will start on the ends of the San Francisco 49ers' defensive line today against the Buffalo Bills. Quinton Dial looks like he will start at nose tackle in place of Mike Purcell.
Our own Al Sacco reports that rookie Joshua Garnett looks as though he will make his first career start – playing at right tackle. This week, both head coach Chip Kelly and offensive coordinator Curtis Modkins had said that, despite an earlier report, no decision had been made on a starter at right guard. Andrew Tiller and Garnett were competing for the spot this week.
Looks from warmups as if Quinton Dial might take over for Mike Purcell at NT; Armstead at LDE, Buckner at RDE. #49ers rank 31 in run D.
