WR Bryce Treggs, who had been having a very solid training camp, sustained an MCL tear on Saturday against the Denver Broncos, per Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area. "That's good news," said Maiocco via Twitter earlier tonight. "No surgery (needed) and it's not a season-ender."
That Tweet declaring the injury as a torn MCL was later deleted and replaced with the following one by Maiocco. He now states that the injury is "believed to be an MCL (tear)" and that Treggs will undergo an MRI.
#49ers WR Bryce Treggs will likely undergo MRI. It's believed to be an MCL, which would be good news. It would not require surgery.

Treggs limped off of the field following a 25-yard catch from rookie QB Jeff Driskel during the San Francisco 49ers' preseason victory over the Broncos. He had been ruled out for the game following the injury.
