On Thursday, San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde joined Dan Dibley and Rick Tittle on the Afternoon Delight show on 95.7 The Game.

When asked about his health, Hyde answered, "The health is 100 percent. I'm good to go. I had a good offseason, y'know, workout program with the team. No setbacks and everything is good to go."

Last season, Hyde suffered a stress fracture in his left foot, causing him to miss nine games. He finished 2015 with just 470 yards on 115 carries and three touchdowns. The injury was discovered by the media just prior to the team's Week 7 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, a game that Hyde would end up playing in.

"It was tough sitting out those games, not being able to help my team out. I just wanted to make sure that when I came back, I was all the way healthy so I didn't have any setbacks so I can play the whole season," Hyde continued to say in regards to the injury.

When asked about the new coaching staff and the new offensive system being installed, Hyde reminded everyone that he had gone through transitions multiple times at Ohio State. "To me, it's just another opportunity to prove yourself to your coaches so they can build that trust and relationship with you and the coach so they can count on you," Hyde said. "I'm really looking forward to working with coach Kelly. It's been very exciting this offseason and he's a great coach, so I'm definitely looking forward to it."

Hyde went on to say that he loves head coach Chip Kelly and while he used to hear the bad remarks about him from other players, he doesn't see that and feels that he is a great coach. When discussing the fast tempo of practices, Hyde said, "At first it was tiring, but we got the hang of it and now, to me, things are slowing down."

Hyde was asked if negative comments about the 49ers ownership or management impacts him or the players. "I don't really think about those things. The 49ers drafted me to come here and play running back, not discuss about what the GM and the owner of the team are doing. That's not my responsibility. My thing is to be the best running back I can and help my team win games," he answered.

No interview would be complete without a question about Colin Kaepernick. He was asked if he expects the quarterback to be with the team this year. "He's there every day with us. I definitely expect him to be with us this year. He's there grinding every day," said Hyde. "To me, he's just a focused guy right now, trying to get himself right so he can show people what he's capable of."
