UCLA LB Myles Jack completed his medical recheck on Friday morning and there were reportedly "differing opinions" on his progress, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Rapoport stated that some teams were satisfied by the progress that he has made since his surgery in September to repair the lateral meniscus in his right knee while other teams thought the healing wasn't fast enough.

The 6-foot-1 and 245-pound Jack is expected to be the top linebacker taken in this month's NFL Draft, with some mocks even having him fall to the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers select seventh overall.

Over his shortened college career of 29 games, Jack had 178 tackles with 15 for a loss, a sack, and four interceptions. The versatile Jack also also had 387 rushing yards on 68 carries and 11 touchdowns at running back.

Lance Zierlein of NFL Media, who compares Jack to NaVorro Bowman, had the following to say in his scouting report:

Upper echelon explosiveness with the desire, speed and aggression to find his way into play after play. While UCLA asked Jack to do a little bit of everything, an NFL team is more likely to simplify his tasks and set him into attack mode to maximize his outstanding physical traits. If he bounces back from the knee injury, Jack could become a high-end talent early on in his career.

Rapoport: 49ers send clear message to teams inquiring about Brandon Aiyuk

By David Bonilla
Apr 16

Ian Rapoport didn't offer much of an update on the ongoing contract negotiations between the San Francisco 49ers and their standout wide receiver, Brandon Aiyuk. However, the NFL insider emphasized one thing: The team is not entertaining trade discussions at this juncture. Reacting to Aiyuk's decision to unfollow the 49ers on Instagram, Rapoport couldn't help but chuckle at the latest development. This practice has become commonplace among players who are unhappy with their contract situations. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel similarly took this action in 2022 before requesting to be traded just before the draft. Things have yet to escalate that far with Aiyuk, but Rapoport sees his
