The San Francisco 49ers will be
hosting a number of visits this weekend at the team's headquarters in Santa Clara. One of the bigger names is UCLA LB Myles Jack, who is expected to be the first linebacker taken later this month in the NFL Draft. The report of the visit comes from Ian Rapoport of
NFL Network.
Jack is an elite talent that is rare for a player at his position. He can be an effective run defender or coverage linebacker. With some work, he could also develop into an effective pass rusher as well – something that he wasn't asked to do much at UCLA. He has the skill set and can play low enough to do it effectively. The 49ers hold the seventh overall selection in the draft.

During his pro day in Los Angeles, the 6-foot-1 and 245-pound Jack had a vertical jump of 40 inches and a broad jump of 10 feet, 4 inches.

Lance Zierlein of NFL Media, who compares Jack to 49ers LB NaVorro Bowman, had this to say in his
draft profile:
Upper echelon explosiveness with the desire, speed and aggression to find his way into play after play. While UCLA asked Jack to do a little bit of everything, an NFL team is more likely to simplify his tasks and set him into attack mode to maximize his outstanding physical traits. If he bounces back from the knee injury, Jack could become a high-end talent early on in his career.

49ers hosting Arizona WR Jacob Cowing on pre-draft visit
The San Francisco 49ers are welcoming former Arizona wide receiver Jacob Cowing for a pre-draft visit as NFL teams finalize their evaluations ahead of the draft deadline. News of the visit comes from Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 in Houston.
During his 2023 senior season, Cowing registered 90 receptions for 848 yards and 13 touchdowns in 13 games, per Sports Reference. His best statistical season came in 2021 at UTEP, when he amassed a career-high 1,354 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, averaging an impressive 19.6 yards per catch. Cowing followed that up with a 1,034-yard, seven-touchdown campaign in 2022 after transferring to Arizona.

According to Damond Talbot of NFL Draft Diamonds, the San Francisco 49ers are hosting former Iowa tight end Erick All on a pre-draft visit.
"Erick All is a beast on the field, I would not be shocked to see a team like the Niners draft him and beat teams with him like they do with [TE George] Kittle week in and week out," Talbot wrote.

49ers hosting Florida State LB Tatum Bethune on pre-draft visit
Former Florida State linebacker Tatum Bethune shared on Instagram that he is visiting the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara. He becomes the 15th known player to visit with the team. NFL teams can host up to 30 draft prospects on pre-draft visits.
