Concussion treatment is a hot button NFL subject and it could be an issue in San Francisco in the coming days and weeks.Standout rookie safety Eric Reid suffered his second concussion of the season Sunday in a loss to Carolina. Reid went down hard after a violent collisions with Carolina running back Mike Tolbert. Reid also suffered a concussion in Week 2. He came back the next week.Like that time, Reid must pass a league test before being cleared to play.

The San Francisco 49ers have announced the signing of tight end Eric Saubert to a one-year deal. The team also officially announced the previously reported signing of running back Patrick Taylor Jr. to a one-year deal.
The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundowns.
Saubert (6-5, 248) was originally drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round (174th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. Throughout his seven-year NFL career with the Falcons (2017-18), Chicago Bears (2019), Jacksonville Jaguars (2020), Denver Broncos (2021-22), Dallas Cowboys (2023) and Houston Texans (2023), he has appeared in 84 games

PFF mock draft has 49ers adding cornerback with 'unique fluidity and size'

Analyst Steve Palazzolo unveiled a first-round mock draft for Pro Football Focus, attempting to forecast the selections for each NFL team within the top 32 picks. While the San Francisco 49ers concentrated on strengthening the defensive line in free agency, Palazzolo envisions the team continuing to fortify that side of the ball.
In his mock draft, Palazzolo predicts that the 49ers will select former Iowa State cornerback T.J. Tampa with the No. 31 overall pick.
