What's Wrong With The Running Game?

Last year we ran the ball a league high between the guards, We were dead last in the NFL running off left tackle and second from the bottom running off the right tackle. By the way I am NOT making up those running stats. In short, our running game was/is VERY predictable; stack up the "D" over the guards and stop our running game. Any good NFL team can and will stop such a basic/bone head scheme. With Gore, Dixon, and Westbrook it would be a shame if we again lead the league in running between the guards. If Sing dosen't change we are not going to be NFC champs.
IF I remember, the Niners ranked 25th in the league in rushing last season. A more varied rushing attack might help this lowly stat.

When will posts such as this disappear? Hesus. I remember when Smith took over last year, all of a sudden we had a QB who could sell the play-action and could also get opposing D-lineman to jump offsides. Smith is a bright and savvy QB, if he can get his accuracy up to snuff, he'll be an ace in this league.
Alex Smith is not handing off the ball like a #1 overall pick should be handing it off.

Dude, it's Smith's fault!!!!!!!!!
No Frank Gore.

2 Rookie O linemen.

And BTW it hasn't been bad. Against the Rams it was real good.

duh!
Every player in the NFL and all the backups and camp fillers knows we like to run inside, and when that doesn't work, we will try run inside later, then if that doesn't work we will game plan to run inside for the next opponent. We will practiced running inside until we are successful running inside.
1. Vikings d-line is kinda awesome, yo.
2. No Gore.

Duh.

You forgot we went against one of the top rated run defenses in the NFL.

Two Rookie OL, a rookie RB & new center going against the williams wall, Jared allen, Greenway and EJ, I don't think they did a bad job. They didn't do a good job, but it could of been worse by far.
Dude climb back off the ledge.

Frank suits doesn't play.

Westbrooks suits doesn't play.

Dixon is a Rookie.

And it's PRESEASON, we ain't gonna show sh@t this early.

there is a lot more wrong with this thread than there is with the Niners running game.
If we struggle WITH Gore in the regular season, this thread becomes relevant. But it's preseason, we have a rookie RB, and played one of the best run defensive teams in the league
