Week 1: Thoughts after rewatching the game...

BTW, Was it me or did it seem like the Green Bay Packers were whiners almost the entire game?? It was really getting old.

definitely kept testing the weak resolve of the replacement refs... "hey where is our usual Cheese-town discount calls?"

still captain check down

Per @profootballfocus, #49ers Alex Smith threw 17 of 26 passes fewer than 10 yards Sunday.

Last I checked, we switched back to the WCO. That sounds like the WCO to me....
of course this is right. why some people thought we would just fling it away down field when we upgraded out wide outs is beyond me. west coast means short passess, nice yards after the catch, the short pass game is an extension of the running game. its called good decision making. sure lets throw it three times, three quick three and outs. we kill no time, we give it right back to the offense

That strategy makes no sense at all considering that on the other side of the field there is a guy named Aaron Rodgers. Keep-away ball is best even when you have a dominant defense.

Harbaugh was doing his best as well! Can't blame guys for trying to get an edge.

A salute to all the hard core Niners fans who were @ Lambeau.

LMAO..."Who can stay in the stands?" "Noooobody!" Love it...way to represent the Faithful.

Gets more irritating as I watch this GB offense vs our defense. Talk about Captain Checkdown? Rodgers constantly dumping off to his RB Cobb... which explains why Cobb is tied for 2nd of all receivers in catches so far.
Every time I watch I notice more and more that the right side of the offensive line (Boone and Davis) appears to be the strength. Davis looks like he's ready for all-pro status. Also saw noticeable improvement from Chris Culliver. If CC has turned into a legit starting caliber CB it is going to be big time for this defense.

Miller missed his blocking assignment on the Woodson sack, Cox had a better game than he got credit for, Ahmad Brooks looks better than he did last season, Jonathan Goodwin looked very good and Alex looked like he was in absolute control of the offense.

Thats about it for me. Bring on Detroit.

The sad part is Green Bay used Cobb as a WR like a RB catching out of the backfield. They don't have a RB worth a salt. Maybe that's why you think Cobb is a RB

Was it just me or did anyone else expect vernon davis to get tackled by the safety when he had that long reception. when i saw him attempt to shake, i knew what was coming

Yeah...Vernon sometimes thinks he's "elusive". He's not. He used to have all these pointless stops and starts in his route running as well. He eventually learned to stop that, but he'll bever be a naturallly elusive runner.

He just needs to use that speed and strength to run past or over peeps and stop trying to fake people out.
