i have been and still will defend alex smith---but i will acknowledge he did not play good enough as he has to today (though the 1st 10 passes, the ball didnt hit the ground---he missed the gimme to norris and if he cant make that play then niners dhould look to andrew luck or someone else---)
but this loss isnt on him alone

maybe frank didnt because the oline got absolutely no push...for all they invested in the oline, they cant make a 3rd and short or 4th and short w/ any consistency whatsoever..in the riader game they got pushed back like they did today--i cant understand why
the fullback dive to norris is wasted play--throw it out
seahwaks started a left tackle off the waiver wire and you would have thought waler frickin jones was still playing...niners def couldnt exploit that weakness in seahwks line
clements and brown give up big plays making silly gambles---why--and i didnt see any niners receivers do any stop and go moves like seahawks did
niner team gave up early....tim ryan obviously saw the need to go up tempo but niners didnt
but guys it is only 1 game...beat the saints next week and move on
