a couple of mistakes in a football game and people think he should be cut and then sent to hell. he is more than holding his own against the other wide outs in practice and sounds like he is miles ahead of the rookie who so many anointed as our number one

It's been more than just the nfcc game. He did the same thing in college. And the nfcc game were monstrous mistakes. Roger Craig is a niner HOFer and champion. Putting his name in the same breath with KW is an insult to Craig's legacy. It doesn't matter how many circus catches he makes in OTAs with absolutely nothing on the line, or him showing up a rookie who's been here for a month or so. The fact is he is unreliable when things are on the line. He will stick around through camp, we can always use the bodies. But I don't see us keeping a fifth or sixth string WR who can't help the team in other areas ie return duties.

Gimme a break. He had a good return that set up a scoring drive in that game as well. If it wasnt for that return we are down one TD anyways.

He was a young kid trying to do something to help his team out. Big mistakes yes....But that game was not all on KW shoulders. The entire Offense besides VD and Alex were horific.

People need to let it go. KW is not going anywhere anytime soon.

i'm somewhat over it.

but don't forget we're giving him his THIRD chance.... not second.

I dont give a s**t what he did in College, but your right, it would be his third chance as a RETURN MAN. If Ginn gets a pass as a sucky receiver because he is a good return man, KW deserves a Pass as a return man, because IMO he has a bright future in the slot.

Like i said, he made a huge mistake, but at that point in the game the entire team was grasping at straws just trying to make something out of nothing. KW should not have been placed in that position to begin with. I also have a feeling coaches and players were in his ears trying to get a big play. IMO they were really pushing KW for a big play and that explains the reverse ETC. Could be wrong, who knows.

As bad as our offense was that game we had a lead before KW s**t the bed. Sure, if our offense was better maybe we could have overcome those mistakes, alas it wasn't. Fangio figured out how to contain victor Cruz and our defense was stonewalling their offense. Hold onto the ball (or don't try to act like it didn't touch you) and we win

to be honest, i wouldn't be mad if he made the team, but i'd be lying if i said i wouldn't cringe at the sight of him running with the ball.

I agree, i woulnt want him as a full time return man. But i still wouldnt mind him as a backup. His mistakes were mental, and he definately has some ability as a return man.

One of those scores was because of a great return by KW.

is it asking to much to wait till he gets cut before you have that conversation? There were lots of people who thought he was going to get cut the day after the giants game, lucky we have adults as coaches and running the front office( that word romper room from my pre banning days just wants to leap out but i will restrain myself)
Just because I don't want him on The Niners I should be In romper room? Get over yourself, self proclaimed "mature"poster. I'm also aloud to dream if I want to.
I never said anything about anyone belonging in romper room, if you look real carefull I said i restrained myself. I understand though that could be skewed and misunderstood so I am sorry if insulted you.. besides anyone knows that the true measure of a persons maturity on this board is the number of little red boxes they have filled up
Look bro I know you like sticking up for the guy. I get it you like him. I just don't believe what he did wasn't enough to make him gone like you do. We traded Charles Haley in his prime. Who went on to kill us in the playoffs, which KW will never do. For what? Not getting along with coach and some players. And also Walshed love Haley. So was Haley really that bad? So to me it is possilble for KW who almost single handily stop a Super Bowl berth to get kicked off the team. See what I'm saying?

Lol are you referring to the FG?? Wow, and that's during a drive that he had a dropped pass on 2nd and 5 on the giants 10 yard line. So he helped get 3 points, he also gave 10 to NYG, so he's -7 on the day

i buy the youthful exuberance argument. and no doubt KW has skills and he had (still has?) confidence in himself.

don't buy the getting cute one (to an extent). we were calling reverses all season (although they were to Ginn), wouldn't it be logical to call a double? fundamentally all KW had to do was take a handoff.

Look i love Harbaugh and basically the entire staff. I have criticized him very little if at all. But a reverse in the championship game on a wet field is getting cute. IMO a reverse in the championship game even if its not raining, especially in the type of game we were going to have against the giants, thats just getting to cute.

Harbaugh and roman did also have a few moments in the regular season when i thought they got overly cute as well, but like i said i love what him and his staff did all year. Really i have very little criticizm of them, but they deffinately got a bit cute in that game.

no doubt that call goes under the "cute" category. any time you go against the normal MO of what you normally do is getting cute.

i definitely agree the coaching staff wasn't perfect last year, so i'm not saying they have no blame at all. and i agree there were other stupid things that happened in the game that lead to KW being put in that situation in the first place, but c'mon, wet or not, a professional football player should be able to catch a ball tossed to them from two feet away.

you can't blame KW for trying. then you can't blame the coaching staff for trying as well....

I understand, and agree to a point. I will say that a double reverse with a toss is not the easiest play in football to make happen. Im not blaming the coaching staff or anyone in particular. Im simply stating that there were alot of variables to the performance in the championship game. KW was not the only reason we lost that game. The entire offense and coaching staff IMO were subpar in that game. My point is that KW made some boneheaded mistakes, but the NFCC loss does not fall squarely on his shoulders. He is easy to blame because his mistakes are obvious, but the only people that earned their paychecks in that game were Vernon and Alex.

You guys sound like f**king idiots calling a reverse cute. The word cute should be abolished from football dialog. Seriously, its p***y s**t.
