Niners final drive:
Did Raye cause Alex to overthrow a WIDE OPEN WR and hit a Colts defensive back in the hands? Luckily for Alex the DB dropped the ball otherwise it would have been a pick 6. Alex threw what was very close to being a pick 6 on the 49ers final drive last week too. Anyway, on the final drive Alex was inaccurate and pulled the ball down the second he felt any pressure which resulted in him scrambling for a yard loss on one play and taking a sack on the 49ers final offensive play (before punting).
You know just before Montana hit JT for the winning TD against the Sam Wysch Bengals, on the previous play, he threw it straight to one of the Bengals DB. But none want to remember that part because the result of the game was just too thrillingS**t is going to happened whether you're a HOF qb or 5th year resurgent.
No one remembers it because it didn't happen that way. The almost interception you are referring to happened earlier in the game NOT on the final drive.
No, pretty sure it happened on the final drive and it happened inside the red zone close to the goal line.
You sir are correct. I remember my heart jumping up in my throat, thank God he dropped it.

Alex Smith led the Niners offense to 7 points yesterday (Gore added 7pts on a 64yard run).
Who would have thought that a qb many had left for dead would rise up and lead this team to a whopping 7 points. Disney probably wants to make a movie about it.

He called two plays. Lets not get ahead of ourselves. I think Alex did a great job however, he still has to continue to grow and take the next step to win on the road.
"-I've received a few questions about Smith calling plays on that two-minute drive at the end of the first half. Actually, he called just two plays at the line of scrimmage as the 49ers were in hurry-up mode. He called plays that resulted in a 12-yard gain to Isaac Bruce and an incompletion to Vernon Davis. The plays he called came from the two-minute portion of the game plan. The plays he called came when the clock was running and the 49ers were in no-huddle mode."
