Can I take a nuke to this thread?

First, in what language is this title?
1) Michael- "a" before the "e"
2) be signed or leave out the "be".
Recap: Option #1- When will Michael Crabtree be signed? OR
Option #2- When will Michael Crabtree sign?

Second, three options? How about: 1) In five minutes; 2) In six minutes; 3) Never

Where is the graphic showing the detonation of a nuclear bomb?

I'm so f*&king sorry about my gramma Professor. or is it (!) Bite me MadDog!

Is this the best you've got to offer the board? I'm not looking for a Pulitzer Prize winning entry, but this is so sloppy that it deserves to be nuked.

Once again, to many new on the board: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO START A THREAD!
You can simply sit back and post your thoughts on another thread.

However, if you feel inspired to start a new thread, there should be some basics to follow:
1) Spell the player's name correctly. Is that far too much to ask?
2) Spell check, and check your grammar. Your thread is going to be read, and people are going to make a judgment about your intelligence. Is this the way you want to come across to the board? As unintelligent? If you are sloppy, you are putting a big bullseye on yourself as someone to not be taken seriously.
3) Finally, if you are going to create a poll, think about the options you are presenting people. In this case, there are only three. Two options make some sort of sense: 1) This weekend; and 2) Next week; the third option: 3) Day after camp. What does "day after camp" mean? The day after camp opened? The day after vets reported? The day after the players hit the practice field? Or the day after camp closes? Just very sloppy. Sloppiness will be nuked. There is no excuse.

So, what happens if Crabtree doesn't sign this weekend, or next week? What if he signs today, Thursday, or Friday of this week? You are presenting a very small window of time: this weekend, next week, and some undefined time.

How about marking out specific chunks of time, so you are guaranteeing someone to be correct.

1) Before this weekend.
2) Over this weekend.
3) Between next Monday and the first preseason game.
4) Between the first and second preseason game
5) Between the second the third preseason game.
6) Between the third and fourth preseason game.
7) Between the fourth preseason game and the start of the regular season.
8) Sometime after the first game.
9) He does not sign with the Niners.

So, in recap, your thread was not impressive in any way. It was not well thought-out, nor well-executed. Put more time and energy and thought into your next entry, and people will stop mocking you.

Bite me!

Let me be kinder this time around. The edit button can help alter/improve your thread. It won't take long to make things right.

Cheers.

Yes sir!

you have got to be kidding me!!!!

he holds out for THREE DAYS...and now he was a "bad pick"

he is fine...he will be in camp and he will be a very solid WR in the NFL for many years to come....he and morgan will tear it up for the niners

People really need to get some perspective....holding out for 3 days is not the end of the world...he will be signed before out game against the broncos

We should have known a guy with a banged up foot, a prima donna attitude and a bad agent was a bad investment. This clown wants top 3 money for being the #10 pick. Since when in NFL history has that ever been the case?

I say forget him. Let him re enter the draft or whatever the hell he wants to do. Move on without him. We don't need him and his 4.7 speed anyway.

please tell me you are joking....no one in their right mind can really want to bail on the best NCAA football WR in history because he held out for e days

are you really that stupid?

This guy with his 4.7 speed, banged up foot and prima donna attitude isn't going to do anything in the NFL anyway. He is a "system WR" from a gimmick offense in college. That's how he put up the numbers. My bet is he will never be special in the NFL. The most overrated player in the draft and he didn't even deserve to be 10th.

yea...you may be right...just like that loser we took in 1985...that guy from Mississippi Valley State....he was slow too...i think he ran a 4.6 or something....he couldn't even play in a Division 1 team...and we traded up and took him at 16....that was a TERRIBLE idea

Get a clue man...just because you don't think he is fast doesn't mean he isn't good...and i believe that he has a faster forty then a 4.7.....and i would love to know what top WR in the league today is not a "Diva"

okay wait one minute here. Im all for getting crabby in camp and waiting to see how this contact thing unfolds. Though, I can easily do without the drama and move on as well. But lets not tell people they are jumping the gun when others are referring to any comparison between Crabtree and Jerry Rice. Jerry Rice will forever be an anomaly. I dont care how similar situations or circumstances are. There will NEVER be another Jerry Rice! Crabtree has displayed tremendous skill in a friendly college offensive scheme. Thats all any of us can say. Thats all the coaches can say and have said. It may be far fetched that Crabtree doesnt sign through the 09 season and reenters next years draft. However it is at least equally insane to assign any kind of HOF/superstar characteristic to a guy who has yet to compete in anything at the pro level. Everyone on here loves to talk about year 2 or 3 with this guy, like he will magically evolve into some undeniably unstoppable force. It may happen. Being a realist, I'll believe it when I see it. Until then, Im stoked for Morgan, Hill, Bruce and Jones.

GO NINERS!

GO NINERS!

i agree with you 100%

i don't believe any WR will be as good as Rice was....i was simply just taking it to the opposite extreme....he was saying the Crabs was a terrible pick and we should bail...that is extreme...so i took it to the other extreme to prove my point

Crabs most likely wont be as good as Jerry Rice....i don't believe anyone will truly be as good as rice...but crabs will sign and be a solid WR
When he has his ego checked!
he'll be signed before we play the texans, Crabtree is not going to mess the 49ers trip to texas.

The 49ers seem happy with the receivers they have in camp.

Perhaps, Eugene Parker is crossing his fingers for an injury?

Its a low-ball tactic, but it would certainly help his case.

I don't think we'll see Crabtree in this training camp unless Josh Morgan goes down or something like that.

Holding out is just another tatic I believe Eugene Parker uses for all of his clients to get the most money possible, a lot of his clients seem to hold out.

I found the following article pretty interesting.

Screw Crabtree, it's buggin me so much because of this whole situation.

Jus let him walk, and hope his ass gets injured for his career, fake ass wanna be superstar.
Forget Crabtree

He's "Threatin" the niners that he's gonna sit out and re-enter the 2010 draft

If he's gonna be like that

then i got 4 words 4 him

F*** You Michael Crabtree!!!!!!!!!

lets hope so B/c im going to that game

"We are prepared to do it," Wells said. "Michael just wants fair-market value. They took him with the 10th pick and you have Darrius Heyward-Bey [the seventh overall pick by the Oakland Raiders] getting $38 million? This week is crucial. Michael was one of the best players in the draft and he just wants to be paid like one of the best players. This week is very crucial."

However, Crabtree's agent told ESPN.com that no such threat has been made on his part.

Addressing the report, agent Eugene Parker told ESPN.com on Thursday afternoon: "You've known me a long time and I'm not a guy who makes threats. Nor am I a guy who negotiates in the public. I don't know where this came from but no such threat has been made."

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4381335

To me the urgency of the cousin saying "this week is crucial" says that Crabtree doesn't want to hold out more than a week. Even Matt Maiocco said something simular about Crabtree should want to be on the practice field @ the Raiders camp.

Parker had to refute the comments because that is just the way he does business. But at this point I think as far as Crabtree the person I would believe his cousin about wanting to get somethign done this week (and don't believe his cousin about sitting out the season because that doesn't make any sense

Jed and the 9ers need to stand their ground. We just need to focus on the guys in camp and let our Defense be the core of this team.

Looks like the Diva loves his $$$$, clothes and material things, more than FOOTBALL. Cant really use "im poor" reasoning because his family is well off!!!

Nice read. So it seems Parker's track record, as reported in that article, is a 60% win rate for his clients. Not exactly overwhelming, when you consider that he's negotiating contracts that both sides actually WANT to get done.

Unfortunately, his hard ball tactics significantly damaged at least one client's entire career--Cedric Benson, who lost his #1 RB postion due to his hold out, then couldn't get it back and was out of the league after just a few years. Some food for thought there for Crabs.

This guy hasn't even done ANYTHING for the team and I'm really starting to not like him. If they DO somehow manage to sign him for a reasonable price, he's going to do a lot to win me over. I loved the pick initially, now I'm starting to think he's just a big 6'2 stack of turd.
