As a avid Big Ten fan and viewer, the thing I like most about Sheets is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and accelerate immediately once he's beyond that first level. I hope he catches on with the team and has a productive career in the NFL.

Frankly, going by the video I've seen, i actually like Sheets a little better than Coffee. So far, of what I've seen of Coffee, he seems like a poor man's Gore, whereas Sheets is a true change of pace to Frank. It'll be interesting to watch the RB competition, incl that with Clayton, who always seems to impress in the preseason.

And Nolan will blame it on Crabtree.

Sheets did look like more of a "big play" guy in the video. He appears to have superior elusiveness and burst in open field running. What makes Coffee preferable as the primary backup for Gore is his toughness and hard-nosed running style.
Sheets looks like a great change of pace/3rd back and return man (in that video). We'll get a better idea on Friday.
I'm glad we have him regardless, and can't wait to see him run.

I know he's a fan favorite here at the Webzone, but I'll hold my opinion until I see him play Friday night. I hope he's an unexpected gem.

Finally we have coach that speaks the truth. I was tired of Nolan's small positives to every player. Sing said Clayton needs to stop dancing and make quicker cuts, and needs to work on blitz pick ups.

I had a feeling this was one of the reasons clayton wasn't seeing significant playing time in the regular season. All we need is another lawrence phillips situation in the backfield. If Sheets can pass protect and pickup blitzs he may see some PT in the regualr season.
