According to Matt Maiocco's blog, Mike Nolan has said that they have not ruled out a trade that would give them a second first round pick. Nolan also said that Scot McCloughan is working the phones. Nolan places the chances of trading for Seattle wide receiver Darrell Jackson at 50-50. According to Nolan, if the trade is finalized today, it will have no affect on the team's draft plans.
Matt also states the following about Willis:
Patrick Willis will compete with Derek Smith for the starting weak inside linebacker position. Willis has been placed ahead of Hannibal Navies on the depth chart in the third-down package. Nolan said Willis will have to win the starting job from Smith.
